PUAFER006 – LEAD AN EMERGENCY CONTROL ORGANISATION (CHIEF FIRE WARDEN)

PUAFER006 – LEAD AN EMERGENCY CONTROL ORGANISATION (CHIEF FIRE WARDEN)

COURSE SUMMARY

PUAFER006 – Lead an Emergency Control Organisation (Chief Fire Warden) teaches the skills and knowledge required to make decisions about occupants safety during a facility emergency and to give instructions on the priority order for responding to the emergency incident area. It places responsibility on individual employees who are delegated responsibility as part of an emergency control organisation to lead in the preparation of facility emergency procedures; command, control and coordinate facility emergency procedures and response; and conclude the incident.

People who undertake this course may act as the primary liaison with emergency services after their arrival. These may include Chief and Deputy Chief Wardens within a facility environment.

This unit has been developed to cover the broad range of emergencies and facilities as considered in Australian Standard 3745 and 4083. For this unit, occupants are people attending a facility on a permanent or temporary basis such as an employee, contractor, student or resident, but not a visitor or patient. A facility is a building, structure or workplace that is, or may be, occupied by people (occupants).

The knowledge and skills gained through the completion of this unit may be applied by employees across all industries.

Our warden trainers have responded to real emergencies as emergency services officers and can walk you through the requirements of acting as a Chief Fire Warden. Fire Warden Training can be conducted on site.
