PUAEME005A – PROVIDE PAIN MANAGEMENT

Course Summary

This course is designed to cover the competency required to administer restricted analgesics and pain relief as part of a supervised first responder, according to a medically endorsed protocol.
This unit is ideally for personnel from emergency services and/or volunteer organisations that provide a medically supervised first aid service.

**Please note that State/Territory licensing procedures apply for the storage and administration of these drugs**

Delivery

Students attend 5 hours of face to face training.

Qualification

A Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment in PUAEME005A – Provide Pain Management will be issued to all successful participants.

Recertification

Participants are required to re-certify every 12 months from their completion date to maintain currency.

Prerequisites

Participants must be aged 14 years or older
HLTAID002 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support or
HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid
