COURSE SUMMARY

Non-Accredited Pocket Mask Training is industry specific training for those who require it as a requirement for entry into the NSW Police Force, along with your Provide First Aid certificate.

This course is not offered as a stand-alone course, it is only offered in conjunction with a HLTAID001 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation or HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid course with ERT Rescue Group in the past 12 months.

All participants will receive a Pocket Mask and A4 Certificate of Attendance on the day.

Please note that this course is not Nationally Recognised.

PROVIDER OF TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT

This course is delivered and assessed by ERT Rescue Group Pty Ltd.

RECERTIFICATION

There are no recertification requirements unless requested by your Employer.

COURSE DELIVERY

This course will be delivered in the workplace or at an ERT Rescue Group Pty Ltd training facility.

COURSE DURATION (FACE TO FACE)
  • Face to Face – 20 minutes (minimum) – full face to face course
WORK PLACEMENT ARRANGEMENTS

No work placement arrangements will be required as part of this course

COURSE FEES AND PAYMENTS

  • Payment Terms – Payment for individual participants is upfront, group booking payment terms are based on agreement between the client and service provider.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Participants must have the physical capacity to perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor.

PREREQUISITES
  • HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
    This course is not offered as a stand-alone course, it is only offered in conjunction with a HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation or HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid course with ERT Rescue Group in the past 12 months.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE COURSE?
ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS

Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete practical assessment tasks. These are detailed in the sections following.

ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES

Assessments conducted during face-to-face training session(s) include:

Performance tasks – The assessor must observe the following performance tasks:

  • Correct placement of Pocket Mask
  • Perform CPR on an infant

Practical scenarios – The assessor must observe the following practical scenario:

  • Correct use of Pocket Mask
  • Perform CPR on an adult
